Destigmatizing mental illnesses through travel with Meggie Tran | Episode 41
KA starts this week's podcast with a quick full time vanlife update and then she interviews Meggie Tran.
Meggie is a second-generation Vietnamese American immigrant who is a travel blogger, writer, and mental health advocate. She runs the blog Mindful Meggie.
As a traveler with OCD and social anxiety, her mission is to destigmatize mental illnesses through travel stories and resources. Her work has appeared in national publications, including Fodor’s Travel and Thrive Global.
In this interview, Meggie talks about what it's like to travel with OCD and how travel helps her overcome some major OCD and social anxiety issues. She explains what OCD is and what it's like to live with it. Meggie also talks about her travel blog, her trip to Costa Rica, living for awhile in Arizona, video games, her Vietnamese roots and family which leads to a funny food conversation.
